High-speed internet seems to be the epicenter of modern daily life, but a fast connection comes at a price. Brookings conducted a study to observe U.S. digital connectivity.
“Individuals without a private Internet subscription or digital skills are at a disadvantage when it comes to accessing economic opportunity,” says the report’s introduction. “There is no question that the Internet is a huge boon to the economy and society, but maximizing its potential is only possible if all individuals are online.”
