Big Companies Dominate Solar Industry

Large systems that sell power directly to utilities account for more than 70 percent of new solar added to the grid this year.

Reuters reports that large-scale solar has become big business, capitalizing on green mandates. Small-scale installations, like rooftop PV panels, have been found to be more expensive than other types of energy.

Solar power is on pace to contribute more new electricity to the grid than will any other form of energy.
