Seattle Couple Salvages Old Barn And Uses Its Wood For New Floors

The wood floors in Amanda Gatlin’s Seattle home have some personal history attached. The planks were once used in a Mississippi barn that her great-grandparents owned.

Zillow tells the Gatlin family’s story, how Amanda and her husband deconstructed an old barn, refurbished the white oak planks, shipped them across the country, stored them over the winter, and installed them as flooring in their three-bedroom home.
