This week, Clayton Properties Group announced that it acquired Oakwood Homes, Colorado’s largest privately held homebuilder, and the 18,000 lots that it controls.
Seeking Alpha reports that Oakwood sold 1,200 homes last year, up 20 percent from 2015. The builder operates in Colorado and Utah and specializes in modern communities with innovative designs.
Clayton, a Berkshire Hathaway company and one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, entered the site-built industry in 2015 and has recently acquired similar companies including Summit Homes, Goodall Homes, and Chafin Communities.
