During the National Association of Home Builders' Professional Women in Building (PWB) Week, the association highlighted several key achievements from regional PWB council chapters making a positive impact on the residential construction industry.
Initiatives recognized by NAHB include the Alabama Building Camp for introducing middle school girls to the trades; Eva Fryar's efforts in creating opportunities for women in building, including a secondary school construction management competition; an event by the Builders Association of Central Pennsylvania and Penn State to promote women in the trades; and top honors received by PWB members Nora Spencer and Mollie Elkman.
PWB will host Shop Talks throughout the month as part of the celebration, NAHB says.
