If Renters Have More Cash, Housing Can Be Healthier

Ensuring that affordable housing is available where it’s needed most remains a real challenge in the U.S., Zillow Real Estate Research reports.

U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro announced that he thinks 2015 will be “a year of housing opportunity,” especially because of the recent cuts to certain Federal Housing Administration insurance premiums. He contends that cuts like these will put more money in the pockets of typical Americans, which in turn could make housing more accessible and affordable.
