Improvements in manufactured homes a “big win” for the environment

According to Building Energy and Clean Energy Strategy Director Robin Roy, the 60,000-plus new manufactured homes being built in 2014 were a big win for consumers and the environment.

This is because energy efficiency gains and improved home affordability are both achieved by new manufactured homes in the U.S. following a strong consensus agreement reached by the Manufactured Housing Working Group, established by the U.S. Department of Energy earlier this year.
