In a new twist, the 2015 competition will award winners in six categories: Contemporary, Transitional/Eclectic, Traditional, Remodel/Addition, Commercial, and the overall Best in Show. Submissions are due by May 1.
Projects eligible for entry must incorporate Marvin windows and doors while showing innovative use of Marvin products in the execution of the design.
Competition prizes include a weekend in Minneapolis and promotion via one-on-one interviews with Marvin's public relations department, which will then be published on the MLuxe blog. Winning projects will also be highlighted via advertorials, video promotions, and features on MarvinWindows.com. The Showdown winner, chosen by popular vote, will be awarded a trip to the 2015 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo being held November 18-20 in Washington, D.C.
Architects can submit projects here.
Last year's winner for Best in Show was Shingle Style Sanctuary on Martha's Vineyard, Mass., designed by Patrick Ahearn and pictured above. A video of the winning project can be seen here.
