New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy says he will restore millions of dollars into the state’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund. His administration will spend $60 million on affordable housing initiatives across the state in its 2020 budget.
Funding from this fund had been diverted to other programs in previous years. The money will be targeted to smaller rental and homeownership housing projects with 25 or fewer units that often have difficulty obtaining financing.
