Unlike how it was with their parents, where many chose to retire to golf-oriented communities in warmer climates, there isn’t a single noticeable trend when it comes to preference of a place to retire among Boomers. The magazine of the Urban Land Institute reports that many developers and builders say preferences for retirement homes are so diverse—ranging from urban to rural to peer enclaves—that they can’t even be grouped by region.
