Unlike how it was with their parents, where many chose to retire to golf-oriented communities in warmer climates, there isn’t a single noticeable trend when it comes to preference of a place to retire among boomers. The magazine of the Urban Land Institute reports that many developers and builders say preferences for retirement homes are so diverse – ranging from urban to rural to peer enclaves – that they can’t even be grouped by region.
