The Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH) program, sponsored by the Department of Energy, reached the 1,000-home milestone in 2016. More projects are in the pipeline, and thousands more are planned for this year. The Department says that the program will continue to penetrate the marketplace as public awareness of the designation grows, and more homeowners learn about the benefits of ZERH.
