This article first appeared in the August 2018 issue of Pro Builder.

So much of a home’s quality comes down to the products you opt for and how you go about selecting and using them: the highest-performing HVAC; the easiest-to-use design software; the most efficient appliances; plumbing fixtures that offer elegance and value. While some manufacturers make the cut year after year for reliability, ease of use, durability, and beauty, new products and innovations enter the market every year.

That’s where Professional Builder comes in. Keeping you current on the latest and greatest products demands vigilance and even a bit of obsession on our part. We spend much of our time thinking about products, searching for them, writing about them, and delivering that news to you.

Obviously, trying a new product means taking a chance. Before committing, you need information. And so, on the pages that follow are the products featured this year in Professional Builder that received the most reader requests for more details and information.
