Amy Dryden, a senior program manager in innovation and technology at Build It Green in California, offers a “cheat sheet” for homeowners purchasing green building materials and finishes. The guidelines meet two Build It Green criteria: healthy air quality and reduced impact on natural resources. Dryden’s list includes flooring, paint and wall finishes, cabinets, insulation, and tile and countertops.
