Rent Prices Continue to Rise

May 22, 2015
According to a report from Zillow, rent prices in April were 4 percent higher than the year before, the fastest increase in two years.
Rents outpaced home prices by 3 percent, the report found, and rental affordability continues to decline and isn’t expected to improve in the near future. Rents have been on the rise since 2000 and weren’t affected by the housing crisis while income fails to keep up with the rental increases.
