STEM professionals in search of a job should head for metro areas such as Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, Wash.; San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, Calif.; and San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward, Calif. Pittsburgh, Pa., Minneapolis, and Atlanta also made the cut in WalletHub’s rankings of the best cities for individuals with STEM skills, using professional opportunities and STEM-friendly environments as two key metrics. The top two worst metro areas, according to WalletHub, are Birmingham-Hoover, Ala., and Lakeland-Winter Haven, Fla.
