The State of the Housing Market

There are differing opinions about the state of housing in the U.S., HousingWire reports. But a straight reading of data suggests the market is by no means fully recovered.

Jobs, home prices, non-distressed existing home sales, multifamily new construction, and rents are deemed recovered or close to being recovered. On the other hand, single family new construction, mortgage applications and originations, household formation, and homeownership are still far from the norm.
