Business Insider analyzed population data from the U.S. Census Bureau, which tracked state-by-state changes in births, deaths, domestic migration, and international migration from July 1, 2015 to July 1, 2016.
The Midwest and Northeast had the highest negative domestic migration rates, and the Northwest and South had the largest increases. Florida and New York got the biggest population bumps from international migration.
