The West North Central region includes Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

D.R. Horton, Lennar, and McBride & Son Companies occupy the top three spots among 22 builders operating in those states last year, which combined for a total of 10,452 for-sale and for-rent closings/completions in 2025.

Minnesota led all states in the region with 5,472 for-sale and for-rent units.
