People wanting to escape from the high prices of the Bay Area don’t need to look too far. With a median sales price of $285,000, Sacramento is much more affordable. Plus, it’s only 90 minutes away from San Francisco.
National Mortgage News found the top 10 cities for out-of-town house hunters. Sacramento ranked first, followed by Phoenix, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Atlanta.
The data, from online real estate brokerage Redfin, compares the number of out-of-towners searching in a metro area minus local shoppers searching in other cities.
