Zillow research found that Chinese buyers are the largest population of foreign buyers of U.S. homes, and they found a way to tap into that market.
The Puget Sound Business Journal reports that Seattle-based Zillow Inc. made a deal with Beijing-based Leju Holdings Ltd. to allow Chinese home shoppers access to Zillow’s U.S. home database when doing searches online. Zillow’s Chief Marketing Officer said in a statement that Chinese homebuyers spent $22 billion in the U.S. last year – nearly doubling what they spent in the previous year.
