Professional Builder's annual Design Awards competition recognizes construction industry professionals including builders, architects, designers, developers, land planners, and interior designers across the nation whose work demonstrates design innovation, as well as showing a high level of construction quality and success in the marketplace.

This year's awards named eight gold, six silver, and two bronze winners in categories that include custom homes, multifamily, and single-family homes of various sizes.  The Project of the Year was awarded to a custom home in Seadrift, Calif., designed by CCS Architecture and built by Allen Construction. Their Lagoon House collaboration stood out for its ability to be simultaneously unique and iconic.

A Special Recognition Award was given to Aspire House, a single-family home design for recovering addicts that is also affordable for that market and complements the surrounding Orlando neighborhood.
