As the foodie culture popularized by food blogs exit the niche and enter the mainstream, The Wall Street Journal reports on how great food is reshaping residential real estate.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Americans’ passion for both cooking and cuisine has spurred demand for kitchens with top-notch appliances, especially prep areas and climate-controlled wine cellars. Furthermore, many of the newest downtown residential developments are centered on the local food scene, where vibrant green markets and top-rated restaurants lure in a chic crowd.
