David Weekley Homes Expands to Chicago

Illinois sales of Weekley's homes are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2014.

David Weekley Homes, the nation's largest privately-held home builder, announced its entrance into Chicago, marking the first time the company is building homes in Illinois. Sales of Weekley's in-town, high-density homes are expected to begin fourth quarter 2014.

"Entering the Chicago market is an incredible opportunity for David Weekley Homes and our Team," said David Weekley, chairman, David Weekley Homes. "We are looking forward to expanding our home building operations and product offering to home buyers in the Chicago area!"

John Morgan has been promoted to division president to lead the company's Chicago team.

Morgan will bring 10 years of home building experience with him to Chicago. Morgan joined the company in 2004 and served as a project manager before his promotion to division president. Morgan earned his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Texas A &M University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Houston - Clear Lake.
