Sternlicht Disagrees with Nobel-Winner Shiller on Housing’s Future

On CNBC’s Squawk Box, Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Shiller predicts that the U.S. housing market has lost steam. But Starwood Capital Group CEO Barry Sternlicht disagrees.

Sternlicht says that the rise of rents will increase the demand and steam for buying a house, because it is cheaper to buy a house and finance it.
