With its abundance of natural beauty and low crime, Wyoming tops Bankrate’s list of the 10 best states to retire to.

Colorado comes next on the list, followed by Utah, showing that easy access to the outdoors is an important factor for many retirees when making their decisions.

But the mountain states aren’t the only ones that make the top. Virginia is commended for its beaches and easy access to urban areas, while Iowa gets a thumbs up for its outstanding health care.
