Thanks to Several Tech Companies, Charging Your Device May Become Obsolete

Ikea released a line of furniture that allows homeowners to charge their devices just by placing them on it. What’s coming next is even more convenient: Devices that can charge by using power in the air.

The cable clutter-free idea is not some far fetched concept still far in the future. CNN Money reports that companies like Energous and Nikola Labs have already started utilizing radio waves to create accessories that will charge an electronic device wirelessly.

Moreover, Energous told CNN Money that it has signed a commitment with a “top tier” tech company it cannot disclose yet, to make their wireless technology built-in into the unnamed company’s popular devices.
