Where Are the Country’s Smallest Lots?

Aside from finding labor, builders are also having a hard time finding enough usable lots. Builders in California are known to make do with tiny lots, but there are even smaller lots elsewhere.

A new Zillow study founds that Baltimore, Md., wins the title of having the smallest lot average, where it is just 1,710 square feet. Jersey City, N.J., comes in second place, and San Francisco, with an average lot size of 2,713 square feet, comes in third.
