An interactive map shows the median age of home buyers for the past ten years
The NAR shares interactive maps that show the median age of home buyers at the state-level for the past decade (2003-2013).Data used was from the Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers for the period of 2003-2013. Sample included home purchases for primary residence use only. The map reveals that Oklahoma and North Dakota had the lowest median age for first-time home buyers, 25 years old in 2007 and 2010 respectively. In contrast was Mississippi, who’s median age was 46 years old for first-time home buyers in 2012.Read more
