If you could go back to your rookie self in home building, what would you tell yourself to do differently? Two home builders look back in their careers and reflect on the most important things they have learned thus far in this week's installment of The Weekly!
Jacklyn Graniczny, partner/design director for Sublime Homes in St. John, Ind., and Ashley Kent, president of Kent Homes in Wilmington, N.C. take us on a journey back in time.
“If I could go back to my rookie self entering the home building industry, I would tell myself that being a rookie is an incredible opportunity,” says Kent. “While being a rookie in our industry can be intimidating, being a rookie also means you have little experience. It means that you don't have the bad habits and the negative preconceived ideas or concepts that may hold you back.”
