Where there are jobs, there are homebuyers. The NAR found that Utah, Florida, Oregon, Washington, and California have the highest job increases.

In the top five markets, all posted gains from last month except for Oregon, which is only slightly weaker but still at third place.

Meanwhile, West Virginia had the lowest job growth, and is the only state with fewer jobs this March compared to a year ago. Mississippi, Maine, Montana, and Alaska also take spots near the bottom.

North Dakota and Texas, which have consistently been in the top five in recent years, are sliding down the list due to low oil prices.
