Contrary to recently reported data, research from John Burns Real Estate Consulting indicates that single-family housing starts rose 4 percent, rather than declining by 1 percent according to the Census Bureau. The firm also believes that builder confidence dropped slightly, rather than increasing as shown by the NAHB’s builder confidence numbers.
