The indestructible material known as Styrofoam has long been opposed by environmentalists, but it is becoming a sustainable and energy efficient substitute for wood.Builders have long used insulated concrete forms for foundations and walls, but Leigh Overland Architects is taking insulated concrete blocks to a new level. When these blocks are stacked and held together with concrete, they seal out the elements and can cut utility bills in half, The Huffington Post reports.Read more
