According to Housing Wire, a report from Bankrate.com reveals that 53 percent of Americans think home prices will gain, and only 8 percent expect prices to slip.
The same survey done last year found that 55 percent of Americans said home prices would rise over the ensuing 12 months, which was true. Bankrate.com’s Chief Financial Analyst Greg McBride tells Housing Wire that “housing, like the stock market, is something consumers look to as an indicator for whether things are headed in the right direction.”
