Out-of-use shopping centers, car dealerships, and office buildings can possibly be construction sites for Toll Brothers, one of the nation’s largest home builders.
ConstructionDive reports that the builder is getting creative to overcome the nation’s land shortage, especially in urban areas, where home demand is the strongest.
Toll Brothers offers homes at a higher price point than many of its competitors, so buyers may be more willing to spend big bucks to live closer to city centers.
Although the high-end production builder is rooted in the mid-Atlantic, it is looking west to states like Texas and Colorado. The west region accounts for more than half of the company’s new-home sales today. Toll Brothers is also considering multigenerational and smart homes.
