The South Atlantic region includes Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North and South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia.

D.R. Horton, Lennar, and PulteGroup occupy the top three spots. Ninety-seven builders operated in the region last year and combined for 160,424 for-sale and for-rent closings/completions in 2025—the most of any region.

Florida led all states in the region with 71,959 for-sale and for-rent units.
