What Kind of Home Do Millennials Buy?

New NAHB research shows that compared to older generations, millennials tend to buy homes that are smaller, older, and affordable.

Currently, millennial homebuyers make up less than 9 percent of new-home buyers, whereas the share of older home buyers is closer to 12 percent. Moreover, the millennial generation is more likely to buy multifamily condominiums than older generations.
