Ray Bradbury once wrote that ignorance is fatal, and while that may be a bit of an exaggeration when it comes to consumers and their lack of knowledge about their electricity use in their everyday lives, the sentiment is the same; our general ignorance in the matter is only hurting ourselves.

The company is looking at different ways to engage and reward its customers and show them how their decisions impact their energy consumption. If people better understand how they are using energy, they will have a better understanding of how to use it more efficiently.

The main goal behind Direct Energy’s vision is to create a retail energy model where consumption and device maintenance are monitored and supported automatically.
