Bigger Houses, Bigger Market Shares

New homes with 5,000 square feet or more of living space gained a slight increase in market share in 2014, according to the Census Bureau’s Survey of Construction, via NAHB.

Around 3.75 percent of new homes built last year had 5,000 square feet or more, which translates to 24,000 new homes total. Both figures are the highest they’ve been since 2007.
