A Trulia analysis of 20 of the nation’s least affordable markets, focusing on 3,083 low-income housing projects from 1996 to 2006, found that there was no significant effect on the values of residences near low-income housing. In Denver, homes located near low-income housing projects actually registered a positive effect in terms of price per square foot after the project was completed.
