Best Places for Retirees in the U.S.

U.S. News and World Report recently released its 2018 ranking of the best cities to retire in the U.S. The study analyzed data from the 100 largest metros relating to happiness, housing affordability, healthcare, taxes, job markets, and desirability of a locale.

According to Business Insider, Sarasota, Florida, topped the list, scoring a 10 out of 10 possible points in happiness, 6.4 in housing affordability, and a 5.7 in health care. One other top ten city, Daytona Beach, was located in Florida, while four were in Texas and two in Pennsylvania.

Washington, D.C., had the highest healthcare rating of the top ten, at 9.3, while McAllen, Texas topped the housing affordability category, at 8.1.
