Wealthier Workers Leave the Suburbs in Search of More Time

Home values in or closer to a city’s core have been rising steadily. According to Bloomberg columnist Leonid Bershidsky, that’s because skilled workers “can’t spare the time to commute.”

The migration of white-collar workers to the city has led to other issues, such as gentrification of inner-city neighborhoods, as well as what the author calls the “killing of Suburbia.”
