While the majority of people who move do so within the same state, that isn’t always the case. Whether for work, to be closer to family, or just for a change of scenery, sometimes a move out of state is necessary.
In 2015, a total of 18 states had more people moving out than in, with the majority of those states located in the upper-Midwest, reports Business Insider.
Illinois, South Dakota, and Indiana all find themselves in the top 10 on this list, but the No. 1 state may come as a surprise.
