NerdWallet Ranks the 50 Best Small Cities for Families

Using the metrics of affordability, growth, and family-friendliness, NerdWallet chooses the 50 best cities with 25,000 to 100,000 people to live in.

They analyzed 1,030 U.S. cities with that population size, and found that the best are in Texas and Utah. Cities that made the list tend to be an hour away from a major big city, and had well-ranked public schools even though it wasn’t part of the analysis criteria.
