Positive Outlook for the State of the Housing Market

Sales figures were up for both new and existing homes in 2015. Through November, new-home sales had increased 13 percent, and existing-home sales had risen 7 percent.

Realtor.com also found that household formation and job creation numbers were up, too.

“Once the final data on 2015 are complete and tabulated, I’m pretty sure that we’ll see that it was a great year of growth and improvement—one that sets the stage for a return to normalcy in the months and years ahead,” writes Realtor.com’s Jonathan Smoke.
