There might not be anywhere in the country with more state pride than Texas. It seems like sometimes the typical Texan views the United States as made up of about 90 percent Texas land, because everything is bigger in Texas, right?
The steaks, the hats, and, apparently, the housing market all fit into this well-known saying. In 2015, according to the Texas Quarterly Housing report, home sales in 2015 rose 4.1 percent, HousingWire reports. That brings the total number to 309,090, the first time that annual Texas home sales have topped 300,000.
Additionally, the close of 2015 saw the highest annual median price figure in the history of Texas real estate. This was the second year in a row that Texas reached an all-time high for the number of homes sold.
