The Atlantic reports that surveys find young Americans, more than ever, are “taking their time and trying to gain their financial footing before putting down roots.”

Despite research that shows younger buyers having a desire to enter the market and settle down, a mix of generational preferences and economic circumstances is responsible for delaying Millennials' entry into the housing market, even with low rates and plenty of low down payment programs available.
