A few pilot projects of micro home communities are showing promise as a solution to affordable housing challenges. In Ithaca, N.Y., a project called Second Wind cottages could be emulated in other locations, according to Mayor Svante Myrick. Myrick says that if the project succeeds, he’ll try to replicate the concept with public financing.
