Weyerhaeuser

Structurwood floor panels, made by Weyerhaeuser and part of the company's iLevel brand, are available in two performance levels: Edge and Gold. The floor panels are made to consistent specifications and thickness and use a wood-resin combination for durability and resistance to edge swell. In My Own Words

"I've found that iLevel by Weyerhaeuser's Structurwood floor panels and sheathing, as well as iLevel's other engineered wood products, are great for green building. iLevel uses wood from sustainable forests and uses virtually every portion of every log in its manufacturing processes, making efficient use of materials."

Kohler

The Simplice pull-down entertainment sink faucet by Kohler has a spray head that uses solid sculpted buttons to provide improved and simpler operation even with wet or soapy hands. It includes a pause function to temporarily stop water flow. The faucets feature the company's MasterClean spray face that resists mineral buildup. In My Own Words

"Kitchens and bathrooms are what sell homes. I choose Kohler because I need to know that the fixtures will both conserve water and provide a comfortable, traditional flow. On the appliance side, it is important that energy and water be saved, but not at the expense of high performance."

BASF

Insulating air barrier systems in the attic, crawl spaces and throughout the home is BASF's Comfort Foam closed-cell spray polyurethane foam. Upon application, the foam immediately expands to 30 times its original size to harden and seal. The material will not off-gas and provides an insulating air barrier with an R-value of 6.0. For FREE information, visit http://pb.ims.ca/5332-126

In My Own Words

"Green building starts with having a tight building envelope, and Comfort Foam provides that. For the home buyer, it will reduce their energy costs, and for the builder, it helps you build a more solid home." professional builder 5.2007

In My Own Words

"The lighting for this home not only meets Energy Star's Advanced Lighting Package for energy efficiency, it exceeds it. I'm told we'll have more LED lighting than any home in the country. To achieve this, we've relied on Progress Lighting's architecture and energy efficient fixtures to achieve both elegant aesthetics and efficiency."
