According to recent survey data, realtors generally anticipate strong housing market conditions over the first six months of 2018. Confidence data show readings over 50 for all property types in the study
In the detached single-family market, respondents expected the outlook to be “stable” to “very strong” in all states, except in Alaska. The states with the best outlooks were Washington, Nevada, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, Delaware, and Rhode Island. Washington and Nevada also had strong outlooks in their townhome and condo market conditions, per The National Association of Realtors' data.
In the monthly Realtors Confidence Index (RCI) Survey, the National Association of Realtors asks members “What are your expectations for the housing market over the next six months compared to the current state of the market in the neighborhood(s) or area(s) where you conduct most of your business?”
