UStec: The iLAN home networking server is designed for home use and enables builders and designers to offer a wide range of flexible high-tech residential networking options to homeowners. The modular server allows consumers to control electronic entertainment, security, computer and climate-control devices. The homeowner plugs into a tecPort outlet that links to the iLAN server over the company’s high-bandwidth structured wiring. Standard iLAN models serve four, eight or 16 locations, and the modular units can be combined to meet the needs of larger homes.
